Pantages Suites Hotel & Spa is proud to be the

TORONTO
LESBIAN AND GAY FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL (presenting sponsor -
Showcase) May
20 - 30, 2004. Pantages Hotel will host Mr. Ian Rashid, director
of "Touch
Of Pink," actress Veena Sood and Ms. Suleka Mathew, the film's lead
actress.
"Touch of Pink" is the Festival's opening night gala presentation
screening
at the Varsity on Thursday May 20th at 8pm.

Rodney Darwin, General Manager of the Pantages Hotel. "As the hotel is
based on the montage of theatre we are interested in helping all
supporters

Directed by Ian Iqbal Rashid and starring Kyle MacLachlan, Jimi Mistry,
Kristen Holden-Ried and Suleka Mathew, "Touch of Pink" pays loving
tribute
to the Doris Day and Rock Hudson comedies of the 1950s in a modern
tale of
Alim (Jimi Mistry), a London-based gay South Asian-Canadian man caught
between family expectations and being true to himself. His perfectly
crafted
life is upset when his Muslim mother, Nuru (Suleka Mathew), comes to
visit
from Toronto.
INSIDE OUT TORONTO LESBIAN AND GAY FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL started in
1991
as a grass-roots event completely run by volunteers and since then has
grown
to become one of the most prominent queer film fetes in the world. Now
in
its 14th year, INSIDE OUT rolls around every May and screens 11-days
worth
of queer-themed shorts, documentaries and feature films. With an
estimated
audience of close to 25,000, INSIDE OUT has become the biggest lesbian
and
gay festival in Canada.
