ACTRA AWARD NOMINESS ANNOUNCED

The Awards Gala evening event will be hosted by Peter Keleghan. Adrian Truss is the scriptwriter, and Gordon Pinsent, who received ACTRA Toronto's inaugural Award of Excellence in 2003, will present this years Award of Excellence to Sonja Smits. The awards show will feature the music of ACTRA member Eliza Jane Scott. The ACTRA Award statuette is by sculptor Adrienne Alison.

Outstanding Performance – female:
Wendy Crewson - The Many Trials of One Jane Doe (television movie)
Diane D’Aquila - Elizabeth Rex (stage play adapted for broadcast)
Debra McGrath - Expecting (feature film)
Sarah Polley - My Life Without Me (feature film)
Sophie Traub - Pink (short film)

Outstanding Performance - male:
Brent Carver - Elizabeth Rex (stage play adapted for broadcast)
David Fox - The Saddest Music in the World (feature film)
Mark McKinney - Falling Angels (feature film)
Mark Rendall - The Interrogation of Michael Crowe (television movie)
Michael Riley - DNA (short film)

The ACTRA Awards will be presented at the Carlu on Feb 20, 2004.
